Baglung is the gateway for famous Hindu shrine Muktinath, which, itself positioning at the Bank of world famous Kali Gandaki River. Politically it is Zonal Head- Quarter of Dhaulagiri zone. It takes approximately two hour’s bus trip to Baglung from Nepal’s one of most stunning tourist destination Pokhara.

Baglung is famous for Sali-gram (Kind of religious stone). The only hunting reserve of Nepal, Dhorpatan hunting reserve is located at western part of Baglung which attracts large number of foreign tourists each year. Baglung is also famous for its handy crafts i.e. bamboo stick and other crafts made from bamboo and other wooden crafts.

Baglung is famous place for pilgrimage as well where the Kalika Bhagawati temple is one of the most religiously significant places of Baglung which is located just above north side of Kali Gandaki. For festive lover every year in Chaitra Astami thousands of devotees from all over Nepal gather there to celebrate the festival. Sporting and cultural program are also held at this time in Baglung Bazar.
